The nervous system

If I remember it right, for something to happen inside, something must happen on the outside.
Man, this stuff is kind of confusing! But I love it.
So, if a person sees food, will the person always reach for it?
Every time they see food?
No, only when they are hungry.
...or something like that.
I also read about this guy named Rene Descartes with a little thingy on the first 'e' in 'Rene', who compared humans and animals with machines and robots.
And I read a lot about the nervous system, nerves, other nerves, more nerves, reactions, things like that.

Psychology

Yep, that's right, I'm learning psychology!
And for this year I must read 'Psychology' by Gleitman.
I already started reading today, and it is very interesting.
When I looked at the first 3-4 pages I remembered that my mom used to read in this book and let me look at the pictures when I was younger.
So I have a whole year to read a book with about 1000 pages... No big deal, I bet I can read it in 6 months and then read it again!
I really must try that, sounds like fun to me!
It can't be that hard, right? Read that book and try to remember what is in it.

Today I have read about that little kids already know that they shouldn't crawl on almost invisible glass tables, dreams are crazy and that birds only have one plan to get a husband-bird.
Okay, I probably learned more than that, but that is what I read.
I better go read some more...
